Owners and Henley Beach locals, Tom and Anna-Lisa came to us with their concept for TLC, a coffee shop aiming to take back the local feel of Henley Beach while serving up genuine experiences alongside coffee, snacks and juice.

Playing with ideas of locality, quality and familiarity, we created a visual identity with instantly recognisable key elements including the refined quirkiness of the ‘TLC’ monogram and a fresh, coastal-inspired colour palette, helping to set the venue apart.

A key part of our thinking during the branding process was to make sure that the brand could apply strongly to external signage attached to the existing character and fitout of the TLC space.

Complementing the signage were window decals, including a ‘Coffee Hole’ for takeaway orders, plus a punchy A-frame taking visual inspiration from the checkerboard floor.

To add to the fun we were also tasked with designing menus, coffee cups and bags and a pattern for greaseproof paper.

To bring the project together, we got behind the lens to capture photo content for TLC to use on social media and other digital platforms.
